Located on the banks of the River Laja, Nirvana Restaurant & Retreat offers yoga and meditation classes and an outdoor pool fed by thermal springs. San Miguel de Allende is a 15-minute drive away.

This design hotel is surrounded by lush vegetation and is decorated with natural materials, including palm leaves and local stone. The simple, elegant rooms have private bathrooms and balconies overlooking the gardens.

The Nirvana Retreat is run by Juan Carlos Escalante, a graduate of The Culinary Institute of America. His restaurant offers creative fusion cuisine. Meals can be enjoyed outside in the gardens.

Nirvana Restaurant and Retreat is a short walk or cycle from Atotonilco Sanctuary, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Free bicycles are available from reception, where staff can also help you arrange tours and excursions.
